First of all, do you need a monitor?
Second, you might want to check the magazines (APC, PC User, PC Authority) for the latest tech as it's updated every month.
Thirdly, you could create a build and post it up for commenting.

Perth -

I have a 24" Full HD monitor and 5.1 Surround sound speakers and I have allready chosen Keyboard + Mouse.
I only need specs on the box

Reason I havnt created a build because I really dont know much Smile
What I do know is that you cant just stick all go-fast parts together when you can get better performance with product matching.

If I were you, I would go for the following :
- Intel-based CPU
- Asus-made motherboard
- OCZ memory modules
- SATAII hard disks ; SSD is too expensive
- ATI-based graphics engine
- sound : it depends of your demands
- R/W DVD drive(s)
- floppy drive
- LianLi case
- OCZ 650-750W power supply
- Zalman heatsinks to replace the original ones for CPU and graphics card ; unless you want to go for a watercooling system
