I recently switched ISPs but bought the exact same internet as i had before (but for less money obviously). I can tell that the internet is a little slower then before but nothing too bad except when watching youtube (not just youtube but any kind of video). I don't understand why, but youtube videos are almost impossible to watch because it would literally take 5 minutes to load a 30 second clip. I don't think it could be my internet since it SHOULD be the exact same speed as I had before and back then youtube loaded very quickly. Any ideas on what it could be?

If you buy Xmb broadband, its UP TO Xmb broadband, so you will rarely get the full speed, and cheaper companies use cheap equipment so you will get slower speeds. E.g > fibre optics vs cable
I'd recommend switching back, the plan your currently on seems very bad and they probably have set some stupid limits like 4gb/month allowance, you may have been offered "UNLIMITED" broadband, but after 4gb, they will reduce their speed to 5% and get away with selling "unlimited" broadband.

my old ISP charged 40$ a month and now my new ISP charges only 19$ a month which seemed a bit fishy. and yes lol I was offered unlimited broadband and a whole bunch of other shit.
also, some days the internet is faster some days it's slower. (and that happens regularly)

This is how, I got a free month with cable.
But now, I have something closer to Fiber Optics.
Okay so, just call in and start going off on how BS the service is.
Since it's not you, they'll do something to satisfy the customer.
