|
|
Where can I find a trustworthy website to buy a decent 500-1k laptop using paypal of course and in the united states? Will official websites like hp and/or sony take paypal also? From what i remember they didn't have the option before but with paypal growing around they world they might have updated there purchase methods.
Please leave some comment or info on this if you can and thx before hand.

Paypal is available as a payment method for most large computer manufacturers. To quickly find out, just go to say, dell.com and search "Paypal". Chances are if it's an allowed method for payment, there will be a few articles saying so that will come up in the search.
Dell, HP both allow for Paypal, but not Sony as far as I can see.
There are also sites like newegg.com and tigerdirect.com, and yet others like CyberPowerPC.com.

Ah thanks alot both of you, Ive heard of tiger direct and newegg and wondered if they were legit sites, I might look into them. If hp accepts paypal I might just stick with them though. Thx.

Newegg and TigerDirect are legit, however I believe from my past experience if you live in Canada and you order from TigerDirect, they charge you duty fees, which is a big whammy.
My recommendation is to order from newegg as they have some pretty good deals.

Ive looked into the sites and they don't seem good for buying whole comps, but they are very good for parts. If I want to buy a hp comp, I might just buy it straight from them if they accept paypal because they are cheaper and end out better with their customizations

Why not just build a computer? It'll be much more cheaper and you get to customize it to your needs, instead of buying a HP computer which I'm sure is overpriced for its specifications.

He wants a laptop. Those are harder to plan, and often not really worth it.

I believe he's suggesting the op build a desktop rather than buying a laptop. Apparently the mods around here don't agree with friendly suggestions about that, however, and warn people for it.

Oh shit, you're right. Guess I hadn't re-read the rules recently.
