I can't log onto MSN Messenger onto my new netbook, and as the title states, I suspect McAfee's firewall, but I can't enter the settings.

Does anyone know how I can get around this, in any way? It's getting on my nerves.

Did you try disabling Mc Afee ?
Try disabling it entirely then try to launch MSN again.
If it still doesn't work, check processes.
If msnmsgr.exe is there, kill it then try launching it again.

I just ended all processes linked with McAfee, but I still can't log on. Confused

I really don't think that it is msn itself that is the issue becuase alot of my friends are using the latest version Smile

So could there be something else blocking? I mean there must be a reason why it works on some computers and on others it just freaks out?
