first of all... why doesnt windows ME allow stealth mode? i know it doesnt work on windows ME... but i just wanna know why it wasnt programmed in... and if possible... can later versions of CE allow windows ME to have stealth mode enabled? thanks in advance ^^...

No, windows ME is based on windows 9x and doesn't have copy-on-write implemented.
when I change one thing in a dll,, like kernel32.dll or user32.dll it affects all other processes, which may be usefull, but very unstable to work with.
And for kernelmode stealth, thats just because I didn't make a device driver for windows 9x.
device drivers for 9x are very different from device drivers of nt based systems like 2000 and xp.
In short, update to at least windows 2000.
