Quote: | Cons: Non standard front panel LED connectors. The Power LED has only two pins so you have to cut wires to make that work. No speaker out that I could see. No Spdif out without buying a back panel connector. |
As you know, I am planning to buy this motherboard.
ASUS P5KPL-CM LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

The review on newegg said something about the power LED has only two pins so I have to cut some wires to make it work. What is the meaning of this? Should i be worried? If i buy it, How do i fix the problem?

Most Asus mobos will have a 3-pin for the power led, with the center piece missing (since it's not needed) for some cases the power led pins are stuck together so in order to plug it in you need to cut that in half.
Good cases will have them separated so there is nothing to worry about.
The reviewer probably bought some cheap dumbass case.

I buying an cooler master elite 331. Can you look into that if i have a problem?
Here's a pic taken from the manual. As you can see the PowerLED is 2 pin.
@slovach: Its not necessary, but I'm trying to learn for future reference.

I never even connected that shit.
The only thing connected is the speaker / power switch for me.
I am too lazy for my own good. Though my HD activity light is brighter than the damn sun, so it is a blessing in some way.

For that type of pin layout you should be OK. The person who put that comment said you will have problems if you got something like this.
Pin lay out for Asus P5Q
As you can see from the illustration above, the pins for the Power Led are separated. If the PLED cable that came with your case are stuck together then you will have problems as you can't plug them in, so you will need to separate by cutting it in half. As I've said earlier good cases will have the PLED cable already separated so you can plug it to any type of pin lay out.
According to the pic at newegg of the case you want them PLED cables are separated.
