I dont see anything squishing it or holding it tight..
It should last very long from what I see

Just don;t shut the door on it...
My Ethernet cable went under the door and one time it got snagged between door and wall so my Bro was trying to close the door and he kept crushing it till eventually it was flatened and i needed a new one...

i had mine out the window and fully squashed it for months
i never had any problems

It'll last for long time, I suppose.
It doesn't seem like it's doing any damage at all.
But if it's possible,
I prefer you to change the place so it will be above the desk. (?)

if it's tight and gets rubbed against that corner A LOT then it might get cut in the middle there but otherwise it's fine
