My vista is really annoying me. Many things i need dont work properly for it. I was wondering, If i were to make my Vista computer into a XP, Would all the programs that didnt work for my vista work for the XP? or will the problem still consist?

| Probably some of the programs that didn't work for your vista will work for your XP.

What programs are we talking about here?
You need to make sure they have XP alternatives (some Microsoft releases) and you have to make sure all your hardware has XP drivers.

i don't know why you'd want to though, especially if your computer was designed for vista. you're going to have to tell us what's not working (as karakawe mentioned), and try compatability mode.

it may not even be possible for you to downgrade.
for ex. my laptop was designed for windows vista. I wanted to install XP but I found out that there are no xp drivers for my laptop.
there are SOME alternatives though for drivers and some vista drivers may work on xp.

what Service Pack are you running im running SP2.0 and i never had any problems run XP only software.. SP2.0 has not been released yet but theres ways to get it, ive included an attachment thats programed to edit your Windows Update and let you download SP2.0, have fun!
just unzip, run(run as administrator), check for updates

Well, it's possible to downgrade to XP, but you have to make sure that whatever hardware you have has drivers for Windows XP, if not, then you can't unless you buy new ones that work with XP.

to XP. Thats what I did because I hate Vista. Gates failed on that one.

if vista it burnt into the bios then your out of luck mate. If not ask your supplier for a downgrade disc or just do some googling, I found some things useful on a few websites for my dads friend since hes incabable of googling

| Vista is stable enough. I agree, when it cam out it sucked. But now its good enough and most program's work on vista. Either you guys keep complaining about it because others do, or you cant afford vista and use this as an exuse.
