Damage to the hardware lol? Never heard of a virus affecting hardware. Did you mean permanently damaged Windows or its file structure (if you meant file structure, I can see how you said hardware...like the HDD)?

Fail. Don't post if you don't know.
Even after you remove malware or a virus, traces remain and there's not too much you can do about it, save manually removing every little thing (which is borderline impossible). Best thing for them to do would be to reformat, but I don't know if that's an option. |

Why does everyone say reformat, honestly....if the virus leaves a trace of itself and comes back, you just remove it again. And his computer would only be running slow after he "removed" the viruses (assuming its virus-related) would be if he didn't actually get all of them.
