I have some questions i want to ask since my laptop is now working when i've bought the AC Adapter for it.
So like if i leave my laptopon hibernating and downloading the file ( which is a really big file , takes a long ass time to finish downloading amaplestory ) will my laptop overheat soon ?
How could i charge my laptop? Ive left my labtop shut off & with the AC Adapter plluged into the laptop but it says " 0% available ( plugged in , not charging ) and i;m using a HP Notebook 90w Smart AC adapter.

You don't really need to..
Your laptop is pretty new, it shouldn't overheat under larger amounts of stress. Try downloading RealTemp and look at the temps of your CPU.
If you just want an answer, don't be afraid to do that (although I don't know if it'll keep downloading in hibernation mode...). Downloading a file doesn't use many resources compared to other things.

It isn't going to download anything when its hibernating. I'm pretty sure everything is suspended. It'll resume once it turns on.
Also, you should really get some kind of cooler for your laptop if its going to be your main machine like that, else expect to kill it very soon.

| Your laptop should not overheat at all. It would be best to keep it in standby mode if you will leave it on for a very long time. As said before me by Karakawe, downloading does not take up many resources.

you can't download a file while your computer is hibernated, it's basically turned off, and when you turn it on, everything is how you left it (programs open and shit).

| Sorry about that, run3500. Thought your computer was Core 2 Duo, but it turns out there are two main models of the dv6000. You don't really need to know the temps since you'll be fine, but there are other programs out there if you're set on it.
