Not going to go into the whole Intel vs AMD thing here, although doubtless someone will.
There's not much else that wouldn't be compatible with both motherboards, memory being the other normal thing to check out. Just so long as your memory DIMMs are DDR2-533/667/800.

a intel 2.2 gHz is better then a AMD 3.0gHz.
Also intel overclock ALOT better, maybe about 5times better.

My friend told me that AMD is fast in raw speed, but Intel has faster reaction time.

Phenom IIs. Denebs.
Someone overclocked one to 6.3GHz. Isn't the C2Q record 5.1Ghz?
(And i7s to 5.51GHz?)

After looking it up, C2Q was about 5.1GHz, amazingly led by the Q6600, but i7 was roughly 5.5GHz. C2D was around 6.7GHz, while Pentium 4/Celeron D was blazing at around 8.2GHz.
Depending on your current CPU, I would just step up to a G31 or P35 motherboard rather than move to an AMD platform. It would save you a good amount of money. Still, if you are going to go with AMD, everything else seems to be compatible.

Not that you'd be able to keep it cool for a normal setup...
