Yes it works, but rivatuner works better and it got fan speed controller.

No then your computer will crash x number of times, it just take alot of time.

Its smarter to raise with first 10mHz, and even lower.
Use either some game or 3dmark to find out how it works.
Also you probebly need to look at the temp.

Thanks for the help i used rivatuner to max out the fan and i used n tune, i needed to see the temp and stuff so i went what the hell and clocked it in there. and i clocked the core bus from 650 to 730 and memory clock from 960 to 1070. i made sure it doesn't crash and inside n tune they label the speed in colors of like saftey. memory clock is green which is safe. yellow is kinda in the middle which is the core bus but it is very close to being green, red means crash is most likely.

My 8800GS went from 550MHz core, 1375MHz shaders, and 800MHz GDDR3 to 755MHz core, 1920MHz shaders, and 1060MHz RAM. I think an average 37% (37%, 40%, 33%) overclock using only a 1.1v BIOS mod is pretty impressive.

Also, RivaTuner has a built in temperature monitor, if you can find it. It's cleverly hidden like most of the other important OCing options Laughing

I prefer testing temperatures real-time, for example, maxing out FO3 or Crysis and doing an intensive graphics run, while still actually playing the game.

What sort of case cooling situation do you have and how hot does the card get? o.o

AC Accelero S1, and a $20 case with dual 120MM fans and crappy airflow. Under extreme stress (my testing method), it stays underneath 60C. I would expect 75C/80C under the same testing conditions using the stock EVGA/NVIDIA cooler at 100% fan speed, which is still a good amount cooler than the 90C thermal danger zone. I couldn't get NiBiToR to work in a Vista 64 environment, even though it has a 64-bit DLL. So I just used an EVGA 8800GTS 512MB SSC BIOS.

I would expect an EVGA model 8800GTS to do just as good as my 8800GS, or even better, if it has better memory.
