I would recommend the 4870 to save a little cash. The 4850x2 would be better, since there are two GPUs, but not by too much. He can upgrade to crossfire down the road if he wants.

Budget comes into play, 4870x2 wasn't even mentioned.
4870x2s are about $500+ USD, 4850x2s @ $370.
The "4870X2>4850X2>4870" thing is a given. >_>

Anyone could figure that out looking by the numbers. He obviously doesn't want to buy the leetest thing out there for the most amount of money.

For a PSU, the 750W Corsair is only 105 (70 after rebate) from 180. They're good products.

My fault, OP.
When I was looking at the thread I thought it read 4870 v 4850CF v 4870X2, so I just posted.
Anyway, If you're getting a 4850X2 you should just get the 750W corsair. It should do it.

Hell, sorry about that, didn't catch it. The 650W is fine for all the parts you mentioned, and if you decide to go crossfire with the HD 4870s. Here.

Yeah. I might have messed up, double-check here. Be sure to include overclock settings. (i7s aren't on there, find an alt: they use 130W.)

Use the QX9650 (Extreme). The Q9650 is only 95W, I think. QX9650 is 130, just checked.
