why don't you just copy the file you need to the host and then drag into vmware? there's probably a setting you need to change to share ports. _________________

i would help you but i recently uninstalled vmware. try and have a look in the settings before you boot up the virtual machine. also, tried inserting the usb before booting the vm? _________________

its ok ill just use ur copy/paste method
also is it better to have the virtual machine to run with duel core than single core? how do i change it becuz i left it at single core? _________________

without your virtual machine running yet, go to the main page bit where you allocate RAM and what not, and there should be a processes option. you can chose the amount of cores there. _________________

if you're sharing files then it's possible, but other than that, if you're virtual machine is isolated from the host you shouldn't have any problems. _________________

It should not infect the host, unless folders are shared and even then it's unlikely. Now if it infects the USB stick and you execute something from the USB stick on the host that's another story, though unlikely.
Just leave it as a single core for the VM unless you're doing some demanding tasks. |

For some reason when i play a game like maplestory on my host, it uses 1 core more than the other now. So its like at 90-100% and my other core is 5-30%
I actually have dual cores...so whats going on?
i dont have my vm open _________________
