So I got contacts a while ago. Now I'm starting to realize that one of my eyes are blurry. Lets say i'm reading this post. If i close my left eye, i can read it perfectly. But if i close my right eye, its blurry. When i was getting my eyes checked, the doctor said he would just give me 5. because my left eye was suppose to be 5.25, and my right is 5.00. He decided to give me both 5's becuase he said i'm 16, blah blah i dont need to be dealing with figuring out which is which...
so will my left eye keep getting worse becuase its "lazy"?

Well, I guess, the doctor probably knows what he's doing.

0 is normal, above it means you need reading glasses. and below 0 means you need glasses.

uhm, 16 is not too young for that shit, :S I usually don't wear my glasses, but I have 0.25 at my right(or left, lmao) and 0.50 at my left (or right, lmao). I just put them on when i watch tv, it's far away so i can't read the subtitles. ;_;
point: you're not too young for it

Using lenses has some bad consequences, such as redness in eyes, sometimes the lense rips and it gets lodged underneath your eye, you'd be prone to infection and also, wearing lenses full time is like taking medicine fulltime, it will help you get better but it is not good for your body after you keep on taking it.

It will get worse if you hve your eyes working extra hard to get a clearer vision...
I've been wearing contact lenses for almost 3 years now, and nothing bad has happened. And my vision has stayed on -2. Infection and redness only comes if you don't handle your lenses well.

Wearing glasses all the time is good but only if you don't watch tv/computer and any other damaging radiation emitting device (I'm only assuming this because my friend did this for 1 year, and now he doesn't need his glasses).
When you're young, your body still grows, so there's a higher chance of recovering, but if your old, there's no chance.

My optician said the opposite. Only wear my glasses when watching Tv, or any distance things that might get your eyes to work harder.

I guess both could work, but then again, we can't assume that they do because we don't know if your optician's advice resulted in the removal of your myopia; did it?

Your optician* knows best.
Your eyesight may get gradually worse, mine have, so far at L -2.75 and R 3.75. But I take the blame for that though seeming as I wear my contacts 24/7 for months on end.
I can see perfectly fine so I dont notice they're even in until I read about contact lenses somewhere.
Oh and don't worry, your eyesight may get worse gradually but you won't go blind, just need stronger lenses.

Not sore, they feel a bit like tacky some times but squeezing your eyelid a couple of times sorts it. I put in new ones every 2-3months.
