If you want like 2-4 video cards and overclock a little bit you'll need at least 1200

Really depends on what cards you got.
I got 2x 8800GT and overclocked from 2.2gHz to 3.2gHz.
And im using the sonata III earthwatt 500watt.
Works just fine.

I have 2 overclocked video cards, a heavily overclocked CPU, high performance RAM, and three hard drives...all this runs fine on a 500w PSU. I'm thinking the dual PSU's is more for redundancy.

Okey you pay a skulltrail then?
For around 500$, also you need to pay for double processor.
And also you wont gain almost anything (sometimes even lose) because no program supports it.

That power supply provides no redundancy whats so ever. All Antec is doing is just slapping 2 psu's together so they can sell it for a premium price.
This is what you called a redundant psu.
To the OP, that case is extremely heavy and large.
Starting weight (including the 2 psus) is 43.2lbs (19.6kg).

I would say 98% of all programs does NOT support more then 2GPU's.
Many only one.

If they're wired in parallel as I would expect them to be, they should continue running if either one failed.

Your bullshitting is getting less and less tolerable. You don't have a $7,000 computer. You don't need to lie on the internet to try to impress anyone, it doesn't matter who has the biggest and best setup. Not to mention, a $7,000 PC is entirely throwing money out the window, since the gains over a $1.5k PC would be very small. So either you're lying, or you're an uninformed buyer that wasted a lot of his parents money. Not to mention it's an AMD so it was already bested by Intel systems before you even bought it, and with i7's release your system will be far obsoleted by $1.5k systems.
