|
|
My PC is making an odd sound.
like not the actual machine, but rather just the sounds? O-o
ok, like:
i turn it on, it makes an odd beeping sound then a buzz then the normal windows logging on sound.
then while its working normally, it keeps making a buzzing sound.
i place my headphones on, and it still makes the sound(through the head phones)
help? O_O

do you have a build in microphone or something your mic could be transmitting the sound from inside of your computer, the been noise is normal but buzzing isnt i think is has to do with a mic being around your computer or something
or
check your computer fans and see if something got stuck inside and the fan is hitting it.

its a laptop
nothing wrong with fans.
im using headphones and buzzing still continues every couple of seconds.
(with or without the headphones)
in other words, it has nothing to do with fans.

if it still happens then its a build in mic, you increased its volume or something and it catches every noise

well, now the beeping sound and the buzzing sound only happen on startup (before the windows sound thingy when you log in)
but it is no longer happening afterwards.

Also, go to multi channel sound manager.

usually if its more than 1 beep it means something is wrong and the motherboard is warning you, if you got more than one beep count them and email your motherboard maker to tell you what the beep codes mean, seriously if theres more than one you need to contact them fast

Motherboard POST beeps come from an on-board speaker built directly onto the board, or a series of lights flash (had the lights on a real old pc I was working on), it wouldn't go through your speakers or headphones.
