|
|
My dads computer files recently have been disappearing, mostly in the my documents folder, he is losing many of his business files, and has of course backed them up, but every day they just seem to go away, disappear
and also sometimes when trying to save a word document anywhere on the computer it just doesnt save, it says it has saved it successfully but it doesnt
It is almost like the computer is system restoring it self everyday
I've done a search for those files, no where to be found
Is this a virus, bad sectors on the drive?
Help is needed

Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 has been working perfectly for me. You can get it for free if you know what I mean

I use Avast.
And rofl Stefon, that "CE Brute forcer" has a virus. That's what I thought it would do.
ANyway, scan for viruses, I would scan with the following software:
SuperAntiSpyware
Spybot Search & Destroy
W/e Anti virus..
And that's it.

I would use SpywareDoctor and MalwareBytes and NOD32 to clear the virus.

NOD32 thinks that everything is a virus.
I use Malwarebytes too.
And spyware doctor, in fact, I am downloading right now.

that shouldn't be happening.

Anything is possible with a computer, sometimes there is no explanation for it.
