|
|
It used to work for me but now it doesnt anymore.
This is only happening in Multi player, I can play single player just fine
When i open COD4 MP the screen goes black (Which is normal because the res is 800*600) and then it shuts down and says: "iw3mp.exe has stopped working"
Thats it. it doesnt say if theres something wrong or whatever
Does anyone recognize this problem or know how to fix this?
Thanks in advance _________________

It could be a corrupt config file. The game actually makes a backup copy which I assume is to be used if it screws up. A bit like an autorecovery process, however, I don't know exact'y how it works or whether it actually does or not. Go into you're game directory and delete the mp config .cfg file. Shouldn't be too hard to find. I can't remember the exact path, and I don't have the game installed. Then try it again.
Other than that, have you updated any graphics drivers? As you may know they store application profiles, and it might be that it is that which is causing the issue. Or, the exe file itself has become corrupt, however unlikely that is.
*EDIT*
--------
@sup3r, how can you send him a random mp exe without even knowing which of the versions he is using...

Try plugging in a microphone, or just headphones in the mic slot,
this happens to me too it just crashes and will only work when i have my mic plugged in. |
