Reformat or System Restore to make your computer a little faster.

Uninstall unnecessary programs.
Defrag.
Delete temp files.
If all else fails a reformat is always good once in a while.

try here:
%HOMEPATH%\Local Settings\Temp
delete the .tmp files and other crap you dont need
or...CC Cleaner...

Also I find that having a lot of shit on your desktop makes your computer run very slow.

here you go the way i did is the best:
1.look at all your important data and calculate hom much space you need.
2.check if you have an windows installation disk.
3.check if you can make 2 partitions of EX: important files size and 1 partition of windows instalation size.
4.make the 1 extra partition.
5.copy all important files to the "recovery" partiotion
6.format your windows drive (default C: )
7.install windows...
optional
8.make a new partiotion that has about 2gb and name it EX : WINDOWS SWAP and goto my computer right click somwhere and choose properties and then choose
advanced system settings
then;p
advanced tab and in performance choose settings and then choose again the advanced tab in the new windows and at the bottom u see a button named "change".. click that. and delete the page file from C: ...or your windows drive letter and set up a new page file to the drive named windows swap... etc you can make eventual 1 more partiotion for crash dump.
that will also speed up your pc....
otherwise if you want todo it with the easy way .... not sure it help because it could delete some important files... but ok:
at your pc's startup turn the command prompt/cmd on and type this in the correct order like i do:
C: <enter>
del windows <enter> or del winnt (i don't know what your win directory is ;p)
wait until it's done and restart you computer and insert your windows instalation disk and choose something like install anyway... on a non formatted partition...
this could help ;p
enjoy
