Hey guys I'm building a computer for around $500 with the Case and PSU out of the way, and I need some ideas.
I already got an antec 900 case and a 650wat antec psu, and I need basicly everything else.
Yes, for gaming, needs to be fast.
Thanks, Jst700
EDIT: its my first pc im going to build and I want to finish it by march. lol a long time

Also, where do you live?

Do not take Phenom. Take an intel.
And you said gaming take E8400.
Get 800mHz ram either 2x 1gb 800mHz (if you use xp)
Or 2x 2gb 800mHz (if you use vista).
For motherboard maxammus siad a good choise, but I would maybe say DS4.
Graficcard that he showed REALLY SUCKS, 8800GT 100$ or 4850/4870 if you can afford.
500gb/640gb harddrive because their best pre/buck.
Sorry but don't listen to maxammus don't think he know so much about computers.,
Regards Humper

Meh I live like a hour from where newegg products get shipped. They still took 2-3 days for me on free shipping. Processing and such still takes time..
Edit: Just to back up what I said.

-.-' I know enough to help people build a comp, and i know that's not exactly what he'd go for but it atleast would give him something to work with, and i even said if he could upgrade to a 4850.

Your choice of processor was bad. Graphics card was bad and motherboard.

I know, i wasn't saying he should go for exactly that but that's what i'm building to re-sell, it's a budget build that should run most games for people who don't care playing the most demanding games with max settings xP
