Recently, I've decided to purchase a 24". I'd be mostly gaming, really.
Therefore, which "gaming" 24" Monitor would you guys recommend?
I don't really mind how much it is.

22" TFT LCD for 195$ USD

Dunno about "gaming" moniters.

Just get this. 22" is good enough.

In Australia i was looking for a good Samsung 24" but there all in 500-900 dollar range.

So i found this monitor
http://www.xpmicro.com.au/cgi-bin/xpmicro/P244WB.html
I know its an acer but it looks sleek and its really cheap for 24" australian.

What do you think of the V2400W?

I would call the first one the superior choice, still.

Would you still say it's more 'superior' comparing to the Dell E248WFP monitor? I was going with the Dell 2408WFP, but, wasn't really sure.

Dell 24 series uses PVA panels as far as I know, which while are known for looking good, they are also notorious for response times and input lag.

TN panels are the best if you plan on gaming.

The Dell E248WFP is a TN panel whilst the 2408WFP is not.
I'm actually now choosing between the BenQ or the E248WFP.
And slovach, what are your LCD(s) at the moment?

I'd still pick the BenQ, specs are far superior among other things.

I have a lowly LG 19 inch wide screen.

There is this 30000:1 contrast monitor. 24" widescreen, pretty neat. although i suggest the samsung syncmaster 226bw. but its just a 22" wide.

AND SO THE CONTRAST WAR BEGINS

contrast ratios are a crock of shit now, because of the 'dynamic' catch. FUCK YES THE BACKLIGHT DIMS SIMULATING A SUPERIOR CONTRAST EXPERIENCE

I'd guess I'd go for the BenQ then.
Unless, anyone else can recommend a far superior one? Smile
