Ok I know how to fix the blue screen but i need to recover some of the files that are in the PC which has the blue screen and i tryed taking its hard drive and putting it into my 2nd pc but the problem is that the hard drive from the blue screen has different cable hook ups than my 2nd pc so how will i recover my files???++rep

Look on your mobo, you might have both IDE and SATA.
Other than that, you could boot your other computer up with a CD or flash drive and recover files like that.

Probably the best thing to do.

Google up Hiren's Boot CD.
Should help.

hey guys i am in my hard drive and i maneged this by booting from ubuton or w.e but now my problem is every time i try putting my files in my usb flash drive it saids error while copying to disk-1 the destination is read-only any help?

Google up Hiren's Boot CD.
Should help.


Hiren's Boot CD is only good if it can find your controller. Most new boards does not come with native IDE and SATA support are limited.
If your board uses a Intel ICH8(some)/9 or above then your of luck as Hiren Boot CD will not work.

You can create an Live XP disc called WindowsPE, but you need to obtain an OEM preinstallation kit just to have it so an alternative for what you can use is BartPE

ok new question i have decided to upload only my important files now wat would be the best place to upload them hopefully the quickest and that allows me to upload large amounts of files

read-only means that you cannot copy anymore files onto the disk. you can only view them. you need a Rewritable CD or DVD. if you want to upload files use megaupload.com

not sure about ubuntu, but with knoppix, drives are read-only by default, so you have to right click on them find where you can enable writing to disk.

As far as uploading...dunno.
