when u on the mdem...got LAN is connected but when i go FF it say no connection....i just format my laptop so i nned help how to setting it back to online

my internet modem name BILLION [streamyx]

Is it a wireless connection or a direct wired connection to the modem?

Either way, go to Start -> Run... and type cmd

Then type:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns

Should reset your connection Smile

If it doesn't, then it's an external problem. You need to go onto your router (I assume you have one considering you mentioned your LAN) and renew your external IP from there. The method of doing this completely depends on your router. If this still doesn't work, get in touch with your ISP.
