				| I could try that but wouldnt it do the blue screen? if not just curius were is the issue of the blue screen of death in the hard drive or were? so if I put it on my pc it would act as a 2nd hard drive does that mean i would be able to access the contents of it from my computer?> _________________

				| the HDD may not be the cause of the BSOD, and since you wouldn't be booting from it you shouldn't get a BSOD either
yes you will have access to all files on the HDD

				| Your drive will be set as the master drive. So it would boot off of your (not BSOD ) operating system.
His hard drive will be set as the slave drive/or just not the one to boot off of.

Then when you boot your operating system you will see like D:/ drive... which is his. Which you did not boot off of.

Now you can copy the files onto your hard drive and reformat his.
