Guys is this a good laptop choice? my budget is $1200 if you can find a better laptop on this site http://www.officeworks.com.au/owbd/catalog/categorieInPath.do?key=0/46EFB75159CC011002000000AC193D36/46EF811F697B00A702000000AC193D36/48162AA74CB1417AE1008000AC193D36Officeworks it is be much appreciated
Edit: btw guys im not into buying stuff online so i rather go to the actual store and buy it myself, i also am not so good with computers internally. id rather just buy a good laptop.
And as for the vista part, i was thinking of changing the OS to XP as i dont like vista. would 2G ram still not be enough for xp?

That seems to be the best on that site for that price. It should be fast and somewhat good with games (Compared to the other laptops)
If you're interested you can also build your own laptop nowadays, i don't know much about it but i've saw a 'barebone laptop' or something on an asus website, from what i've read around the web they come with a mobo and the screen then you add the ram, gpu (Though the choices are probably limited), and all the other stuff. Not sure if it'd be cheaper or how all that stuff works but it might be something you want to look into.
In my opinion: I would never get a laptop unless you're constantly on the go and need it. I've had a few over they years and they always stayed in one place, on a table or something and if i wanted to go out and about the batteries died after an hour or so. If you don't need the mobility a laptop i strongly suggest getting a desktop, and if you can, build it yourself. You get to know a lot about computers and i find it fun (Though i am a geek).

Vista with 2gig RAM doesn't seem like a good idea.
I'd rather go with another laptop which has 3-4 gig Ram or buy 2 gigs yourself and put it in the laptop

T5750 sucks. Get a T8400 or P8600 (they're almost identical). You should get a 7200 RPM Drive b/c even though you get about 1/2 the space, your computer runs a lot faster. Use external hard drives for storage. The 512MB 9600M GT is like the best graphics card for a laptop unless you buy those comps that are over $2500. Plus its $50 cheaper This is the Dell dv5t series.
