So I wanted to see what all the hype was about, and experience the supposedly wicked fast browser that is Google Chrome. However, after I saved the installer, and ran it, it won't install. The installer just sits there, all day, "Downloading Google Chrome..." I've tried stopping the installing, ending the two stupid processes it leaves behind, deleting the Google folder in my C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Google folder, and then restarting the installer, but I get the same result: a litlte window with "Downloading Google Chrome..." and a little progress bar that doesn't move.
Does anyone know how I can install Google Chrome?
I have no firewall or antivirus, so those are out of the question.
I've tried running the installer without saving it, but that gave me the same result.
I also know the installer is legit since it's from google.com/chrome _________________

If you're behind a proxy, try without it. _________________

Ignore this thread, I fixed the problem. Apparently, my Local Settings folder was set to read only or something. _________________
