Well I haven't been able to install programs recently so my dad suggested it may be might be a Registry ACL problem, which it probably is. So I followed this guys tutorial (http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2006/09/04/739820.aspx) and downloaded and installed SubInACL and then ran the reset.cmd script and I had it perfect. But when I finished I still couldn't install, say, iTunes.[/url]

Control panal

Add or remove programs

then click on add or remove windows component and uninstall windows xp sp3.

I'm just guessing thats the name.

Use your judgement on the update name because i don't know.

I installed songbird, but it says my music library cannot be read (I keep all my music on my D: drive and not my C: so that's why), and if I tell it to ignore that and just import from D:\My Music it does all that but it doesn't start up. The process is there, but there's no system tray icon or any GUI.
