anyone know why my counter strike source lags?
i have a faint idea but im not sure
my guess is that my processor speed is too slow

The Source engine is amazing, I can easily get 60+ FPS at absolute maximum detail settings while it's only using half of one core (on a Q6600) on the Source engine's more detailed games, like Half Life 2: Episode 2.

Make sure you turn down the detail settings, and if it still lags, then it sounds like part of your computer needs an upgrade. Games using the Source engine hardly lag at medium detail settings on our old computer which literally takes half an hour to start and lags with older games like Age of Mythology.
