how do i fix my problem.

here it is. my explorer.exe wont open on startup at first i thought it was no problem but now its starting to worry me when i start up my comp i get an orange screen with nothing on it but my documents. if anyone can help me or tell me how to restore my explorer.exe please do.

will give +rep if i can fix without reinstall.

Are you saying you had other stuff, but ur explorer.exe didn't show the desktop?

yes explorer exe comes up with a blank page all i see is orange and my documents file.

ok well i knw those are torrent sites but huge downloads like never get done evemn when i use bittorrent.

Downloads like Windows WILL take patience.
Just leave it on, tape a sheet of paper on the power button saying "DON'T PRESS!! IMPORTANT ACTIVITY IN PROGRESS!!!!"

lol funny cheatnub but i cant do that either. for reasons i wont say unless its completely necessery but if someone can get me a guide or something that would help even if its just like editing the registries to fix that would be ok. Sad

Go to the registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Make sure the value Shell is set to explorer.exe.

*edit* is this a problem it says fservice.exe after explorer.exe
