| My telus only runs at a 324kb/s I was wondering how to boost its to a possible 400 or 500 kb?

i've got about that as well. hoping in a month or so, when our contract expires, that dad will get a better plan.

I'm pretty sure none of the programs that say they will help will actually increase your internet speed.

mines apparently 10mb/s but i download at 600kb/s maximum... 
in the uk they dont offer such high speed internet to the public 
EDIT: 
^ my speed test 
for some reason i never ACTUALLY get those speeds though

Hm... mine's 168 kb/s, and it's not too bad.
If you're downloading big files, try searching Orbit downloader on the internet.
And i have DSL.

My download speed tops out at around 1.2MB/s, still slow compared to most of the world.
There's nothing you can really do to increase your download speed. You can increase your browsing speed by using browser tweaks but that's it.

You have to divide the speed you get by 8, to get the actual one.
Also, to the guy who has comcast, how much does it cost?
