i downloaded CoD4 and i got trouble with my graphics card i think
im using an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 is that card actually able to play the game?
i guess its about 5 yr old lol since i doubt anyone has opened the PC to change things
so can i play cod4 with this or not at all?
updating the driver now btw hoping that it will work
heres the error i get:
wish i could just play without "glow"

Yes.
That graphics card is very old.
I have like two of those, in my garage (I think I still have it).
Yes, update your drivers.
I guarantee you, you won't be even able to play without the drivers installed.
Although, if you're planning to use the graphics card to play COD4, I don't think it's going to run smoothly and you might encounter issues.

yea its old
the pc is 5 years old so to be honest i dont think its worth buying new bits for
the driver update didnt help, anyways it wont even let me ingame to fix any settings
i want a new PC but i hate vista lol -.- i guess ill wait for windows 7 then just buy a new box
anyone know if CS:S will work on my pc? its downloading now but if i can't play i think ill cancel it and go for an older version of CoD

Vista actually isnt that bad and for most games you need Direct X 10.. which only vista has..
they have fixed a alot of issues and i myself thought it was crap but its not that bad

Man that card was probably bad even for Starcraft. Updating the drivers, using vista, and maybe at the lowest settings, it can play. You might run a test though...

Use this and choose CoD4. And the website will run a test on your computer pushing it like CoD4 would to see if it would run.
