Since my old PC is about 4-5 years old, I thought about making a custom PC as it is better than a stock PC. I am in a budget of maybe a max of $2000-$3000. All i know is that i want the following

This is a Gaming PC

2x 300 GB HD 10,000 RPM

Nvidia 8800 GTS or better(i think)

2 gigs of DDR2

a Big Case /w Cathodes to light it(that isnt too cramped as long as i can maneuver in it easily)

Liquid Cooling

Killer K1 Network card

Core 2 Duo Processor

Plz help me make this pc and yes i mean I MAKE the pc

I have no experience building this PC, but ive seen some videos on how to connect wires to ur hardware

I dont know anything about motherboard and etc and i also wnat good ventilation

That is a TON of money and you could probably build what you just said for 1000... Ill run something together and you can tell me what you think.

You want us to make it for you and then send it to you? I think we can help you out by pointing you out the manual and if you have any troubles, just post them here.

For almost 2000$ that sucks.

Get him a 1 gig video card and better ram. And an OEM OS.

And

Get him a better hard drive, one slave and one master. Master should be 100 gigs and 500 gigs on the slave.

Bam, upgrading my computer with the parts I picked out are better and I spent only 700$.

The floor is open for suggestions. and, i doubt 2gb of video RAM would be good for his computer... From what i heard (not an expert on this topic) If your video RAM and your computer RAM equal the same... your going to hit some problems.

OK, i like bams combo

but I have a suggestions, knock down the case a bit and upgrade the power supply.

1: Vista sux, xp is better for gaming at the moment...HOWEVER! xp32 cant use that much ram.(3.5gb? though I've heard of some sort of virtual memory addressig for XP pro..not verified by me personally though) THe videocards, + 4 gigs of ram, you wont get most of your extra ram.
2:So you'll end up with vista Smile which even though its buggy right now, and some games have issues with it...it has DX10 which is where the gaming is heading. Get the better vista if your going that route*forgot the title of it, pro? deluxe? something*
3: good processor and board choice in my oppinion.
4: HD I'd agree with the other guy who said, go with a smaller FAST drive for the OS/Programs hard drive with a larger normal speed drive for long term storage. Who needs half a terrabyte of highspeed date seek? lol
5:Watercooling. I use one similar to this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835108100
have yet to break 100f degrees even on full load and my coolant is out of date

Just my thoughts Smile If anyone disagrees pls post, but keep the u f!@## suck or similar flames out of it Smile

Anyone who thinks you need more than 600w for this build is stupid...

I could see going for the Antec 900 would be better, but the PSU i picked out is more than enough with head room...
