I have the XP CD, but i can't down grade the Vista that was preinstalled in my computer. When I insert the XP CD it starts loding then gets me a BSOD or sometimes it said something about the OS.

The good people at Microsoft dont want you to downgrade Smile

To do this correctly, you first have to completely format your hard drive...

You are going to need to use some LiveCD or sorts...

yes. just partion C:\Windows and reformat that. afterwards, install xp in C:\windows and you can unpartion it if you like.

This is what happend to me too. You have to go into the BIOS and disable RAID. Use ATA instead. That should work :3

some computers, like my cousin's laptop, require you to slipstream some xp drivers to the installation CD to be able to recognise the hdd. you're computer might be different but try and search it on google and see what you come up with.
