I am planning on dual-booting on Windows/Linux Ubuntu 8.04 LTS. But I'm wondering, how do I install Beryl & Compiz/Compiz Fusion on there, or whatever the latest thing is. Or is it already on there? If so what are the controls?

Compiz Fusion is already present on 8.04, but you have to down load ccsm from Synaptic to enable most of the other effects.
Beryl is also discontinued I think. Not sure.

Synaptic is the default package manager in Ubuntu. Look in the System menu.
CCSM stands for CompizConfig Settings Manager.
In Synaptic, search for ccsm and install.

There is no CCSM. I installed all the packages that have to do with Compiz. But how do I use Compiz?

Try typing "ccsm" in the terminal, or look for it in the Menus.

I think I can't find it because I was looking for it while I was in the "Try Ubuntu Without Changing Your Computer Mode."

That's for Edgy Eft, not Hardy Heron

The guide for Hardy Heron is at the top of the page where it says: "
UPDATE 08/04 - 08:
