well i was downloading a keygen, i forgot to scan, now it has edited almost everthhing. I think he might have also deleted almost everything. So anyway, i clicked on the "keygen" then one of those little "command" windows popped up. installed some "antiviruses". i tried to delete them, then restarted. but now i cant go into my programs, nor the task manager, or the control panel "display". ill try and post a pic.

try system restore. and if you are to use a keygen in the future, it's best to use ones that many people have downloaded, like on torrent sites with lots of downloads.

Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore.

And, next time...please crop your pictures and save as .jpg or something. Each one of those pictures were 8MB...which seems massively huge even for a .bmp.

Re-Install windows.
Easiest solution if you cannot use system restore.

I learnt the hard way to.

I always scan my folder I download before I use it, I think around 70% of the time it has a virus in it, its just because of the stuff I dowload though.

ill do it tomorrow, ima ask my cousin to save some of my stuff on his hdd before i reinstall. thnx for the help. DARN YOU VIRUS!!! i cant believe i didnt scan the file before executing!!!!

system restore didn't fix your problem?

and if you can't find an external hdd for dumping your backups onto, you could also partition your hdd, move clean files to the new partition, reinstall OS on old partition (C: drive most likely), move your backups from your new partition to the partition with your OS, then merge the partitions back together...or you could just use the external hdd.

On to the partitioning like fullyawesome mentioned. Another thing you should do if your reinstalling. Create a partition large enough to hold your programs and games. Then you can store your files on the second partition. That way you wont lose your files if you need to reinstall again. Just keep a copy of your programs/games and drivers on partition 2.

Alright well thank you for the help. I was able to remove the "virus" it was actually a program that started on start up.It only allowed me to do little, but after messing around a little, i was able to get to my add/remove programs window. i searched for any programs that i knew i didnt install, and there it was "website Helper" i removed it, restarted and viola it was gone. so i guess it really wasnt a virus, since my antivirus could not find anything. NOD32.

also, my computer starts alot slower than usual now Sad

you think the program might have messed with any hardware? specifically the ram?

you could get someone who knows how to remove your harddrive and slave it to another pc,
then that other pc could run a virus scan on it,

I would make sure that the other pc you slave your infected drive to scans it from a limited user account to safeguard against becoming infected itself,
