Hey i accidentaly downloaded a virus on my other comp, and what it does, it disables my internet connection, and then 5 minutes after i log in, the computer crashes, is there a way to remove the virus in that 5 minutes?

Does it bring up a message saying something like "Your system will shut down in: 5:00"?

If so, go into command prompt, and type in "shutdown -a"
This will abort the shutdown, and you would have plenty of time to try out anything that you wanted to.

System restore is located in Program list>accessories>system tools

It restores your computer back to a previous save point; any information created between the time of it and now would be gone.

its in the control panel under SYSTEM its a tab on window tht says system restore i never tried it but there it is... tell me wat happens if u try it

ok i cudnt find that, but i found the infected files, i just dont know how to delete them, it says "access is denied, file may be written.. blah blah blah"
but it actualy says something

1.click the start button in the botom right corner
2. on the right side there is a little clipboard thing icon tht says control panel
3.click on tht n once the menu comes up there is a icon tht is a computer with a check on the monitor tht says SYSTEM
4. click on tht n at the top of the window where the tabs are there is one tht says SYSTEM RESTORE click on it...... there u go

Press CTRL ALT DEL to bring up the task manager, and go into the "Processes" tab.

Search through here, and if you can find it, end process and then try deleting it again.

theres nothing to show, i got rid of the files that were infected, atleast i think i got all of em, but now the internet connection still dont work.. any help with that? is that because of the virus?

Have you tried antivirus software?

If you have nothing else to resort to, I'd just go ahead and a system restore; it's simple and will fix the problem.
