| was it a hot day? that probably affected it. Also, maybe it was cause you left the computer on for long periods of time?

Are any of the fans clogged? If they are, clean all of them out.

Clean all dust filters. Remove the CPU cooling unit and re-apply thermal paste. Check the BIOS and lower all voltage usage. If it's a custom built, see if you can reposition the fans to a more effective area. Turn off your computer like once every 24 hours for a few hours to let it cool down. Replace your cooling liquid coolant. It really sounds like though you were over-clocking or messed with the BIOS cause the PSU got hot as well.

Check to make sure all of your fans are still working properly.

Snow if your power supply is going bad it can be overheating your whole pc.
Decrease in voltage the pc will shut down.
Also by the powersupply getting hot it is doing like a oven and heating up the case air.

I also suggest getting a new PSU, it probably can't handle your current PC right now.
