I've been on this forum for a long time, and I've always noticed that we talked about PCs and windows. But can someone direct me to a good website that sells Macs? Besides the apple website itself?

I'm actually buying it for a friend here. I hate macs as well. I need to find a very cheap mac that can do recording and mixing with music and also has a lot of sound options.

I don't think you would be able to find it anywhere else. It would be "illegal", as it violates the EULA (of Mac OS X). You can always build a "hackintosh".
Or you can just get a good Windows PC with a good audio editor such as Acoustica Mixcraft.

Thanks very much guys. and yes I agree that it's almost impossible to find macs outside the website and that the prices are ridiculously high but my friend just wants one and I don't know much about Macs =/
Oh wait, it also has to be a laptop, because she's going to go to college with it, but thanks again for the help!

Macs are just ok but they are extremely pricey and can't be upgraded or improved in any way. Anyways I'm still looking.. I just need a good website, I might still to newegg because that's one of my favorite for computer parts anyways.

XP is far superior to Macs and you can do almost if not the same on Windows than on Mac. Although Vista is doing horrible right now, it will get better. And comparing Mac to Vista is not really a fair comparison, although, considering how much Mac sucks, I would still choose Vista.
