I've found a tutorial on how to use .bmp as GUIs in C++. I downloaded the source code form here, scroll down if you don't see it. When I compiled it, it gave me 2 errors, I commented out those 2 lines and it word fine... Until I tried to chage the skin.bmp. After that I couldn't get it to compile. All I did was go into the skin.bmp file and change the image and that is it. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Maybe... Embarassed

EDIT

Since no one else is offering a solution, here is my second question. Is there another way I can use a .bmp file as a GUI in C++?

EDIT AGAIN

Still no answer, hmmm... Google has been no help either.

EDIT AGAIN AGAIN

Look, the first link, when I searh 'C++ bmp gui' on google!
http://www5.google.com/search?hl=en&q=C%2B%2B+bmp+gui&btnG=Google+Search&ei=34LiR_PbNoOKggT83pm1Bw&redir_esc=www5

Still awaiting answer.

Do you think painting a picture on a window, and then monitoring the x-y coords the cursor is over is good enough for you?

CreateBitmap() / CreateCompatibleBitmap()
BitBlt()

You could retrieve the handle to the Device Context with GetDC()

I think that he's trying to set a bitmap as the background, though I might be wrong.

A wild InvalidateRect() appears!
