Can't help you with that fix dude (never heard of something like this, maybe try a reinstall), but you shouldn't do too many things which involve your root acount and internet, won't be good for u in the long run...
And i suggest you ask this question in a Linux forum or sth. like that

The whole reason that linux is safe from viruses is that unless your root, the only thing viruses can delete is the home folder.

Use

sudo
for all things root.

linux crashs? ive never seen but anyhow
try right click on firefox exe and give it all rights try different browser try one that dont needs wine
