Today, my Bitdefender Total Security 2008 found "Trojan.Patched.BD" in WINDOWS\system32\sens.dll
I googled "sens.dll" and found this as the result and informations about "sens.dll"
http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/dlllibrary/sens/
It's pretty important for the computer, and it's part of Microsoft Windows.
However, I don't know how it works, I don't know what to do. Rather let my Bitdefender keep blocking it, or leave it to do whatever it wants...
By the way, I checked the modification dates in "Properties", they're all the same, the modification date and the created date. They're all the same with the other files too, all the same time.
Could someone know about this? Should I blocked it or let it continue to do its job, although I'm not sure what it does.

Well, have you researched the virus itself? I can't really tell you much if I don't have information about the actual virus... I'll do some research and come back to you later ;]

Viruses can take the same name as system32 files, but it's likely a false positive.

After a bit of researching,I've basically confirmed what i thought: Its a fake, just like you said. Apparently this virus is becoming quite a common problem lately... Anyway, I would suggest that you block it, because its probably a fake.... However,do it at your own risk.

I google the virus name and found on Bitdefender forum. One of the user got the same problem...
I'm going to blocked it, until there's more news on it.
Also, Bitdefender detected it yesterday, on google, Counter Spy (by Sophos company) also detect it. Only two companies detected it so far...
And one more thing, I checked another computer of mine, freshly re-formated. I also found the sens.dll in there, they're exactly the same size...beside the date it was created.

I wouldn't trust a security company for registry cleaning.

That dll is used to sync mobile devices with your pc.
C:\Windows\System32
right click on it, and click properties. If the date of creation is new, then the file has been infected.
Use your windows disc and copy the file from it to replace it or download one from online.

i ahd the same problem but with a different virus
it was called tuvwvwx.dll
it was in the system 32 older like urs
but when i went to delete it it said it is being used by a person or program so i went to the processes and tried to deltet the process that was stopping it from being deleted but it said that it was a critical system process
viruses are bastards h8 em
i had to system recovery because the virus blocked e from accessing the internet and attacked programs b4 they started rendering them useless
but in the end system recovery did the job

I checked it,t it was the same date of creation with other files/folders too. Same modification date too and they're all in the same time.
Bitdefender is the most that suite me, it's easy to use and detect good. I used some of them such as Kaspersky, AVG, Norton...they all screwed my PC up. I used it to protect, and never use registry scan lol, too much people complained about software for registry cleaner.
