|
|
Is there a way to get a new battery pack thing for a laptop, at the moment mine can only last 2 hours without charging, can you help me find one that will last a lot longer and for a good price?
Sorry If I'm not explaining very well, all help appreciated.

Not sure, but you would probably have to take it to a computer shop, they will take it apart and put a nwe one in, not for free though...

How much do you reckon it would cost?

Bull , you dont have to take a laptop apart to change the battery.
You just unplug it from the bottom.

Oh, How much would it cost to buy a new battery, that would probably last around 4-5 hours off charge.

Most batteries for laptops only last 2 hours with out charge...
to go longer, you try to change the settings to use less power, for example, lower the brightness of the screen.... that will save about 5% battery. LoL
look at your power saving plan before you waste money on a new battery.

I agree. Look into powersaving devices like an SSD rather than a hard drive,
make sure Speedstep/PowerNow and other powersaving features are enabled in the BIOS, turn down your screen brightness, set the hard drive to spin down after inactivity.

Ohhh, thanks to all of you who helped
I've set the battery setting to power saver, what difference to these settings make?
Does it make your laptop slower or just lower graphics?

Although mine goes for about 4 hours (win lol) mine is set for lasting longer, by lowering brightness as suggested above, and not using any extra things that could take up power.
