I bought a Macbook Air and I'm using it atm actually, BUT, since I want money for other things I'm going to send this back. I don't want to spend more than $1,000 on this new laptop though, and I don't know much about hardware so I'm posting here Razz

Thanks.

Honestly, if you are looking for a gaming computer, I would recommend making your own computer. It's cheap, and not as fragile as a laptop. Though, you will need some computer skills for that, I believe there are books on it. 1K is enough to make a pretty awesome computer, too.

If you are truly set on buying a laptop then don't buy MAC or Alienware; They suck.

What are you using it for? gaming? As mentioned before it is ill advised but possible. Battery life will suck but it will game pretty good.

I apologize Razz and thanks for the links.

I'm kind of looking something similar to my Macbook Air but looking to save a few hundred or so and some more ports (this has 2 - USB 3.0) and an HDMI port or whatever and at least 13 inches for the display. I don't really want a super fat laptop because I'm going to use it for school today so I'll need to carry it. I would like something with a bitbetter graphics than this that can play Minecraft on max okay (because this lags a little bit and it gets hot really fast).

1,000$ Can build you a top-notch PC with like 200$ to spare on games. Just ask someone for help or consult the manuals

I know Newegg has some barebones, but Tigersdirect is probably the best for them.

Asus Zenbooks are nice, if you're looking for similar weight/design to a macbook air.
