so a few patches ago iwas careless and downloads bad hacks. it turned out the hacks did SOMETHING to the hhd to make me unable to log into my user. and now since my laptop broke i just got this thought in my head, which should have came months ago... shouldnt a system restore bring it back to life? so if it could, where could i d/l a system restore disk?

ps. this was done on my psp, ignore the bad grammar.

Well i start up the computer, and it goes to the log in screen. And it's weird, it's like a window instead of the normal thing. And I log in, and it logs me back off immediatly.

If you can log on using safe mode, you should be able to system restore it.
But, I do not believe there is anyway you can put a system restore on a CD.

system restore is part of windows XP and above computers, you don't need to install anything. if you HAD system restore turned on then you could possibly restore back to a previous time but ONLY if your computer made a restore point. and why not format?

I'm pretty sure he was referring to a system restore disk that comes with your computer, or maybe even download online (I'm not too sure about online, but my old Compaq Presario came with a system restore disk.)

Also, wtf? Of COURSE you wouldn't delete System32. Why would you? It's one of the main components of Windows operating systems.

oh if you're talking about a "recovery disk" to format your computer and start fresh then this should have come with your computer or you just use another windows (assuming that you use the windows OS) disc.

Wait, so you haven't used your laptop for months because bad hacks "broke" it?

Reformat. If you went months without those files, you wont miss them. Trust me...
