ok... your getting a burner, not a dvd/cd rom.
get a dvd/cd rom too, a tad bit more proprietary.
case is nice...
ram... $135 for 2gb?!?!
heres 4gb (2 sticks of 2gb) even less than one of those.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231122
as for motherboard.. and cpu... i'd probably go for switching to intel core 2 duos or maybe a quad. they are better for overclocking, much more flexible. and amd's stock HSF's are pretty pathetic right now...
and with the harddrive, if you dont need much space like me (only have used 20gb in 1.5years with my laptop) then you could go for a 150gb 10000 rpm harddrive for around that price, would definately speed up loading times, etc.
video card... you could just about get 2 8800gt's for that price, and 8800gt's are actually better than the 8800gts's when 8800gt's first came out. maybe get an SLI compatible mobo with 2 pci-e slots and your pretty set for just about any game (besides crysis )
PSU... probably wouldnt need more than 600W, 750 is overkill.
that covers most of it, when you revise your list just post it again and i'll check it out again
EDIT:::... just give me a budget and your msn ID and i'll put together a nice setup for you and send you links to the stuff.

Stop spamming.
Don't get an AMD their entire product line is pathetic atm, go for the Q6600 and an x38 board.

Ewww Pentium D, switch it to a Q6600. Also if that is a previous gen gts, switch to an 8800gt.
If the Q6600 is out of your budget, drop the x-fi, or if you must have it, then get an E4400. Cheaper, and MUCH faster than any Pentium D.

Doesn't make sense, the GTS that you are planning to buy is the old gen one, getting the 8800GT is a smarter choice, if you really want to go with a GTS, go with the 8800GTS 512MB (Which has the new core)

1) Get Vista.
2) Wait for the GeForce 9 Series.
3) Get a lighter chassis.
