linux is being gay whenever i install it and reboot it keeps saying can't run operating system.

Make sure you left enough room for the partition when you install it. Make sure you're actually NOT booting off the Linux CD and actually booting off your HD. Otherwise, unless it's a corrupt ISO file, it should work marvelously.
