Open Start Menu>Run>Regedit

HKEYLOCALMACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>WINDOWS>CURRENTVERSION>RUN
Now add a new String and Name the Key whatever you want, now your newly added string and press Modify Binary Data, now type in the Directory of your Program.

for msn you can just go into the msn options and uncheck start with windows or something like that, use another messenger now myself so am a bit rusty,
but you can stop it starting up from within the options menus

for general autorun startup programs you can use msconfig

START/RUN/ type in the run promp msconfig

then in the startup tab uncheck any programs you know you dont want autorunning

thats me finished till the new year in january,
going to get merry from now till then,

an early merry christmas everybody and a happy new year

if it is that then.. just download ccleaner and look at the start up option and remove as needed.

ok don't listen to what anyone said except for the msconfig bit for what you want. btw you can change a setting in MSN to stop it from starting up with windows, but another way, and this is for anything is to go:

run -> msconfig and go to the startup tab, as "me" said. (lol nice name)

The way I said works too, It's the same way MsConfig does it, Editing the Registry. But mine takes longer so yea :]
