Article in here!
Quote: | 3 8800 Ultras = £900
1 Tri Sli Mobo = £200
1 1200W PSU = £150
The look on your face when you realise you still can't get and more than 40fps stable in Crysis... priceless. |
^ Got to love that comment.

Looking at past card transitions, the 9 series should be about twice as powerful as the current fastest card, so maybe a pair of those bastards will actually run crysis decently. By then I'll have enough saved up and I'll be getting at least one so I can report back on how it goes
But tri-sli seems too inefficient, I'm unsure if I'll even SLI 2 cards.

And recommended a 1100W PSU, should be just enough to run my calculator

Also, Tri-SLI looks like it would give heat dissipation issues, with them so close, especially the middle one

Exactly, they are having problems supplying good drivers for SLI, and now they are releasing Tri-SLI... What I saw in that benchmark doesn't sound good.
And Tri-SLI = no space for sound card

Indeed.
