Crying or Very sad i am on my psp ... my comp wont format and @ start up says "MDR ERROR" and crashes ... please help Crying or Very sad

While I can't say I don't disagree, there is a meaning to MDR though. MDR stands for memory data register. When there are issues with the MDR at bootup, it usually leads to issues with the RAM of the system.

@Faust_III: Try removing the RAM in your system and replace it with other sticks if you have any others laying around. If you don't try taking it out and putting it back in and make sure it is firmly seated into position.

Do you get any POST error beeps when your system starts?

this has something about a MBR error at boot and there are tons more stuff if you google.

fixed.... i got a gig stick of RAM and a 160gig hard drive so.... 1.5 gigs of ram and getting another gig stick in a few days

2 RAM slots... so i replaced an old 512mb stick with a gig stick
